Hester and Turner’s new horror-comedy series debuts from Markosia this November.

Shocktraumanauts Phil Hester (story) and Brook Turner (art) will join forces this fall to recount the saga of Golly Munhollen: part-time carnival ride repair man, part-time race car driver, full-time dumbass, and now humanity’s champion in the impending apocalypse.

Armageddon has been cancelled due to lack of interest, but some pockets of Hell haven’t received the memo and are bent on starting crap come judgment day. Heaven, with seemingly profound negligence, selects a dimwitted but goodhearted carny to ward off these stray threats.

Hester’s story blends mind bending horror with acerbic humor in relaying Golly’s hapless quest to defend earth from the forces of hell, while Turner’s art brilliantly captures every nuance of the colorful characters he encounters. A special preview of the first issue appears in most Markosia books this summer.

Golly! will be a full color, ongoing series which features plenty of creative cussing, and thus, is not intended for younger readers.
